Riku's Rommelhok

A four minute clip of the 2nd movie with English sub. I was a bit lazy with translating, so some sentences aren’t really exactly what they say. (Oops) Well… I just translated it quickly, so my teacher will be able to make some sense of it. ^-^

For those who wonder: No, I don’t have a sub for the 2nd movie (yet).

A little teaser. (a 3:39 minutes subtitled clip of the 1st movie) Actually only uploaded this for university-related purposes, but a bit of sharing is probably not really a problem.

Because some people probably wonder:

Yes, I have a full sub for the 1st movie. No, I won’t share it with you (yet). The full sub file will be shared in a few days, please look for it yourself then. ^-^

Only a four pages of the manga, but who cares… ^-^ Not actually sure if I’ll ever completely scanlate this (I don’t have any experience with scanlating…), but we’ll see about that later…

Help, please!

Hi everyone,I guess I mentioned before I’m using Miss Boys as the movie I’ll analyse for a paper I need to write for university. Now I’m happily claiming all kinds of things, but I guess I need some proof. So I have some questions and even though they might sound really odd, I’d love it if some of you would take a few minutes to answer these. It would be great even if you don’t answer all questions. You can send the answers to my Ask box.

As I don’t want to influence any answer, I can’t tell you more about the purpose of the paper.

1) Why did you want to see these movies/Miss Boys?

2) When you watched the movies, did you identify yourself with Masami (or any of the other characters)? Meaning, did you share his thoughts and feelings at all times. (For example, when Masami felt horrified when he saw Miki for the first time in drag, did you feel the same?)

3) When you watched the movies, did you see the characters as the characters, or did you see the characters as the actors? (Were your reactions like “OMG, Masami/Kaneko/Miki/Ojo/etc!” or “OMG, Kenken/Shogo/Tsuji/Baba/etc!”)

4) I’m sure you wanted to see Kenken/ Shogo/Tsuji/Baba in drag. Why?

5) Do you ship Kenken and Shogo (or Masami and Kaneko)? Why?

6) What do you think of drag? Would you mind if a boys would dress up as a girl on daily basis? What are the limits?

I guess that’s all I can think of now…

OMG! O_O

After about 4 weeks [it should’ve been 2 weeks normally], my package finally arrived! It didn’t only bring a me a copy of Cocoa Otoko’s single Soldier [which I really just bought, because I should buy it. Not because I don’t have the songs yet.], but it also brought me a manga [see first picture].

When I ordered that manga, I wasn’t really sure what it was, but it wasn’t that expensive, so I just added it to the order. Turns out it’s more or less the story of the first movie. ^-^ It’s pretty sweet and even helpful for translating & subbing the movie.

And to make it even better, there’s some special interview with Kenken en Shogo in it! And that interview comes with some absolutely beautiful pictures of them. [see second picture]. My scanner really does no justice to it, but anyway… o(^▽^)o Maybe I’ll scan & share the rest of the pages later.

Scans of Hide’s article in cast size 4 were shared before [by someone].

And here’s the making & interview video I ripped of the DVD.

Edit: Added English subtitles to the video.

Some Cocoa LOVE in cast Size 4 ^-^

And here’s the 2nd fanfic I talked about. It’s no masterpiece with no clue at all!

Shun sat silently on the couch in the cheerleading club’s clubroom. Next to him sat Shuichi. They were the only two members left since Miki left. School started a week ago, but no new members came. They tried to get new members though, but somehow it didn’t work. Even when they said they wouldn’t be as strict as everyone said, it was no use.

“There should be a way to convince some people.” Sighed Shun.

“Indeed.” Answered Shuichi. “The cheerleading club is a lot of fun, but… nobody seems to understand it. They rather join one of the sports clubs.”

“Maybe if we dress up…” suggested Shun. Shuichi shook his head immediately.

“I actually think it’d scare most people of.”

“But you also joined knowing we dress up as girls, right?”

“That’s true, but this is different.” Answered Shuichi.

“I still think that being honest about our club activities is the best way.” Shun said with a thoughtful expression on his face.

“Maybe, I’m sure most first years already heard about us from their seniors anyway.” Shuichi agreed.

“We just have to convince them that drag isn’t so bad.” Suggested Shun

“But how, what’s good about drag?”

“Many things. You know that yourself, right?”

“I do.” Answered Shuichi. “I mean, what’s so good about that drag that’ll convince a person who doesn’t have any interest in it?” Both stayed silent again. Was there actually something that would convince anyone of that.

“What are you two silent! Any worries?” Masami entered the room with a bright smile on his face. Neither Shun nor Shuichi answered. Masami raised an eyebrow, this was series. “Come on, tell me what’s wrong.”

“Can’t you see what’s wrong?” Answered Sun slightly upset. Masami was surprised, he didn’t expect such an reaction. He looked around the room, but couldn’t find anything that would upset Shun so much.

“Everything looks still the same to me.” Said Masami after checking the room again.

“That’s the problem!” shouted Shun. “It’s still only the two of us! We need new members!” Masami nodded. He didn’t really care, but he could understand Shun and Shuichi cared.

“Masami, would you by any chance know a way to convince the first years to join our club?” asked Shuichi cautiously.

“We thought we should convince them drag isn’t so bad, but we can’t come up with anything.” Filled Shun in. Masami just nodded and thought it about it for a few seconds.

“It’s easy.” Answered Masami. Shun and Shuichi looked surprised.

“What do you mean?” Informed Shun.

“Drag is just fun.”

“But…”

“That should be enough, right?”

“But…”

“I’ve got to go now, or I’ll be late for practice. See you two later.” Masami left the room. Shun and Shuichi sat silently on the couch as they did before.

“Maybe he’s right.” Said Shuichi.

“yes, I guess so.” Agreed Shun. “Drag is just fun, that should be enough.” Both boys smiled at each other. Forgetting they still needed a way to convince other people of this.

Warning: I’m bored!

Going on a little holiday, I’m in the train now. Still more than an hour to go before I reach my destination! (Who said the Netherlands was small? It’s 18:40 now and I started travelling at 17:00) Anyway, even though it’s slightly slow, I love the free internet in the train!

Before I finally managed to connect, I wrote a two little stupid fanfic like things. Read it if you feel like it, but don’t expect something amazing. I just wrote down whatever came into my head.

This is fanfic NO.1…

Masami watched the sky lying down in the grass. Cloud after cloud after cloud drifted by, he lost count already. He just vaguely remembered some of them looked like bears, some like bunnies and he’d also seen a dragon. Dozing off in the late afternoon sun, he was rudely woken up by the yell of his friend Shun, who sat next to him.
“That cloud looks like a castle. I would like to live there.” Without moving and inch, he looked at Shun. Sometimes he didn’t understand that guy at all.
“Don’t you think it’s stupid we are watching the clouds together?” It as a totally unexpected question for Masami. He really didn’t get that guy.
“Do you think your girlfriend will mind?” Masami sighed. Shun really thought too much into it. It wasn’t the first time he did that. To be honest, Masami didn’t really mind the crazy mind of Shun, it was funny most of the time. Sometimes though, he really couldn’t understand what Shun was thinking. This time he did though.
“I think she’ll be fine.” He answered and closed his eyes. The weather was just right to take a nap.
“Maybe you should ask her.” Shun suggested. Masami opened his eyes again and sat up.
“What should I ask her? If she minds I’m watching the clouds with you? She’d just laugh at it and think I drank too much.” Shun didn’t seem to listen. That guy’s mind went off to another place already. Masami sighed again. “What are you thinking about?”
“Would you want to live in a castle made of clouds?” Masami looked at Shun in surprise, but doubted Shun actually saw it. He was still looking up at the sky, presumably at his cloud castle.
“No,” answered Masami after a while. “too much moisture.” Now Shun looked in surprise. It wasn’t often that Shun didn’t catch on to him.
“Too much moisture?”
“Yes, the clouds are basically made of water, right?” Shun nodded.
“That’s true.” He looked up to the sky again with a doubtful expression. “Maybe a castle of clouds isn’t so nice after all. I mean, it disappears when it rains.”
“I guess so.” Answered Masami. He was bored of this conversation. The strange thoughts of Shun were only funny until a certain point.
“And a castle on the Sun would be too hot. And castle on the Moon too cold, not to mention there wouldn’t be any oxygen, so we wouldn’t be able to breathe at all.” Masami didn’t answer to all this rambling. Sometimes he should just let Shun be. He lay down in the grass again and closed his eyes. Summer would be over soon, he’d better enjoy it as long as it lasted.
